Applications for the third cohort of the WFF Young Scientists Group are now open!

The World Food Forum (WFF) Young Scientists Group (YSG) was launched in 2022 as the core body providing scientific evidence and technical knowledge to the various initiatives of the WFF Global Youth Action initiative, including, but not limited to, the Youth Assembly, Innovation Lab and Education Programme.

This support will culminate in the publication of a biennial report on specific technical issues affecting youth in transforming agrifood systems.

With the second cohort of the YSG coming to an end in May 2025, the WFF is pleased to announce the open call for applications for the third cohort that will run for a two-year period from 2025 to 2027.

The third cohort of YSG members will work aligned with the FAO Four Betters: Better Production, Better Life, Better Environment and Better Nutrition and support regional work conducted by the WFF Global Youth Action initiative.

Applicants must be enrolled in or have completed a graduate programme, be aged 21 to 35 and specialized in a field relevant to the mission and work of FAO.

Please check the terms of reference, the working protocol and the selection criteria before applying.

If you are interested and fit these criteria, apply to be a YSG member by 22 February 2025 here.
